Ms. Chappell researches, documents, and provides education on network protocols, analysis, Wireshark, network forensics, and interplanetary Internet communications. She is the original creator of the Wireshark Certified Network Analyst program (now simply referred to as the WCNA Certification program - wcnacertification.com).

She is also Project Lead for the Interplanetary Networking Special Interest Group (IPNSIG) Academy and a member of the IPNSIG Technical Documentation and Architecture working groups. Ms. Chappell is also the Vice President of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) Silicon Valley Chapter, a member of the FBI’s Infragard, and a long-standing Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

Ms. Chappell has written numerous books on network protocols, troubleshooting, and Wireshark.
